we see the sketching of the piece,... I had
already painted the wall a rich vibrant red
prior to begining (an interior semi-gloss latex).
So here I'm pre sketching the letters out on
the wall with a bland tool grey. Getting the
proportions right is very important and it's
something that you have to spend alot of time
on, but with that being said, over time it
becomes progressively easier and more intuitive.
At some point one must be able to conceptualize
the project, usually days before starting.
You make changes as you go along, taking mental
notes of things. Like what color sticks to
the wall the right way, what colors are covering
properly over other colors, and if it doesn't
work, how do you move forward. |
